Mr. Reeves' Horticulture class recently did a "Tropism" lab where they used light or "Phototropism" to see how plants would react to a stimulus. Each group chose a box and had to place two cross pieces of cardboard with holes to allow the plant access to light. The competition was fierce, but today one group's plant emerged out of the box. Congratulations to Gestin Pollard, Gavin Mullins, Kymber Davis, Mathew Sanders, Landon Fortner and Ryder Perry. They will receive lunch in the Ag Building for their prize.

Our Latta National Honor Society has worked hard during Red Ribbon Week to educate the student body about the effect drugs can have on each of us. Today we are very thankful for Calvin Prince and Officer Smith for coming out to talk to our 7-12 graders about Drug Awareness. Their insights on drug awareness were truly eye-opening and inspiring. It's great to see such dedication to educating our students about the dangers of drug use and the importance of making the RIGHT choices. Their efforts are making a real difference in our community, and we deeply appreciate their time and commitment!
