Latta DECA donated $426 to the Latta Partners in Excellence Foundation. This makes the 4th year for this event. Board members Chad Lancaster, with DECA Vice-President of Leadership Briley Brundidge and Latta DECA President Cole McElroy present check to Chad King and Dr Jeff Williams.



Today the Latta Native American Club met. Michaela Richbourg from the Chickasaw Nation Public Schools department spoke to the club. She spoke about being Choctaw and growing up in Broken Bow. She also spoke about playing softball at Oklahoma State University. Thank you Michaela for speaking to our kids today.

Latta TK has been working on following directions! So today for letter L they followed a recipe and made lemon cookies. They even grated a lemon for the recipe!






If you are 15 years old and would like to take Drivers Ed, please go by the high school office and write your name on the list. The class size is limited. The cost for the course is $100. There will be a meeting for those interested students during Panther Time on Friday, September 6th.


Latta FFA would like to thank Art Dean, the son of Oklahoma FFA’s Grandpa and Grandma Dean, for coming to the Mr. Reeves’ AG II class and sharing his 50 years of insight and knowledge of the feed industry. He taught students about how to read a feed label and the importance of knowing what’s in your feed. He also educated the students on all the laws and agencies that regulate the Feed industry. Thank you again Mr. Dean.


Mrs. Reeves’ Hospitality & Tourism classes took a field trip to The Artesian today. Students got to hear from hotel staff about careers available there and enjoyed a tour of the beautiful facility. A ranger from the Chickasaw National Recreation Area also spoke to students about a variety of careers in that tourism field.

Latta DECA is making a difference by raising money for the Latta Partners in Excellence during the first week of school. The members raised $400.00.


Latta Elementary was very well represented at the Pontotoc County Free Fair Horse Show. Conlee Reed, Taelynn Atkeson and Molly Rowland all did a great job and brought home ribbons and hardware! 🐴 🏆





Congratulations to our JH🥎Lady Panthers for placing Runner-Up in the Swing for the Fences tournament!


Today, 7th-12th grade students had the privilege of listening to District 22 Attorney Erik Johnson who spoke about the legal consequences of vaping, social media use, texting and driving, truancy, sending inappropriate text messages, bullying, and marijuana usage.



There are changes in the school lunch menu for Tuesday and Thursday.
On Tuesday, students will be served calzones, corn, tossed salad, and apple slices.
On Thursday, students will be served chicken fajitas, refried beans, celery sticks, and pineapple.
