Today Jo Anna Owens and her department from the East Central Education Department spoke to our high school Native American Club. She spoke about the educational opportunities that East Central provides Native American students. We would like to thank her for all of the awesome information she gave us today.



Thank you to Ada Whataburger for hosting a coloring contest for our elementary students! Every student received a kid's meal coupon. Our top three winners were 1) Kreid Aguilar 2) Jette Romines and 3) Zora Wallace (not pictured). They each received an Easter Basket with all kinds of Whataburger Merch! Congratulations!

The seniors had an EGGcellent time at their senior Easter egg hunt today! After the hunt, they spent their remaining time playing on the playground for the very last time as students. Then, they followed it up with a yummy luncheon! Only one luncheon left, seniors. The countdown to graduation is on!

Latta JH boys golf finished 5th at the Wewoka Invitational today and Kreed Garrett placed 9th overall! Great job, guys!


Reece Ellison and Hailey Edwards entered East Central University's prestigious "Darryl Fisher Creative Writing Contest." Out of over 300 submissions from across the state of Oklahoma, Reece placed 3rd overall with his short story "Timothy and the Grouch," and Hailey received an honorable mention (top ten) with her short story "The Last Message." We are so proud of our accomplished writers.

Latta FFA competed at the Murray State Speech contest on Monday night. Kinadee Scott, Beau Griffin, Kas Reeves and Jocelyn James competed in several divisions. Kas Reeves took second in the FFA Creed, Jocelyn James won first in Extemp and Ag Policy. Congratulations!!

The Annual Latta FFA/4H Bean Supper and Pie Auction will be on May 2, 2025 in the Latta MS/HS cafeteria at 6:30 P.M. It is a great blessing to everyone, and we couldn't do it without you.
We ask that everyone participate in some way to make this a successful event. There are a few ways for you to help.
There is a grocery donation for the bean supper.
Everything served for dinner is donated.
