Bienvenido to Puerto Rico. March 5-9 Jocelyn James and Mr. Reeves traveled to Puerto Rico to visit several FFA chapters, student's SAE projects, dairy farms, cheese processing plant and the University of Puerto Rico; all while Jocelyn recorded an International Agriculture Podcast in person. While there they were able to plant plantains, visit with FFA Members and see where the school farms sell their coffee to and how it is processed. They also spent time with two Puerto Rico State FFA Officers, and the Puerto Rico FFA Executive Secretary, Brendaliz Ferrer. Latta Panthers were also mentioned on Utuado 1530 AM Radio during their weekly focus on agriculture program as we were honored guest, and got to mention what we do at Latta FFA and Oklahoma agriculture in general. A special thank you to Juan Jimenez who is a local Ag Teacher that filled our days with once in a lifetime experiences.
